When a Problem Should Not Wait

Some electrical problems are merely annoying, but others need attention straight away: an outlet that sparks or shows scorch marks, a breaker that feels hot, a panel that hums, lights that dim across the whole house, or several rooms losing power at once.

Should one of these appear while our office is open, phone us and tell us what you are seeing. We will help you switch off the affected circuit safely, move your visit ahead of routine appointments and give you a realistic arrival time. Visible flames or smoke mean getting everyone outside before anything else, then dialling 911.

Outside our hours, a circuit that is not sparking or smelling of burning can usually stay switched off at the breaker until morning. If you are uncertain, turn off the main breaker and call us when we open.

What a Priority Visit Includes

Safety first, then the cause, then a lasting repair.

Guidance on the phone

Which breaker to switch off, what to unplug and which areas to avoid while you wait.

Priority scheduling

Your visit is placed ahead of estimates and installations during business hours.

Making things safe

On arrival the affected area is isolated and the rest of the house checked as safe to use.

Finding the fault

Meters and heat checks locate the overheating connection, failed breaker or damaged cable.

Restoring lost circuits

Dead areas traced to the panel, a failed connection or the service, with the utility involved if it is their equipment.

Replacing damaged parts

Scorched outlets, melted switches and failed breakers replaced with correctly rated parts.

Repair or written follow-up

Most repairs are finished on the visit; larger work is scoped and priced in writing first.

A clear explanation

What failed, why it failed, and whether anything similar in the house deserves attention.

What Happens After You Call

  1. Describe it

Tell us what you see and where. We explain how to make the area safe and when we can arrive.

  2. Make it safe

The hazard is isolated first, and the remaining circuits are tested so you can use the rest of the house.

  3. Repair or plan

Smaller faults are repaired there and then, while bigger causes receive a written scope before any further work.
